AndalucÃa Philharmonic Orchestra has acquired an important prestige in the national scene. In spite of its short trajectory, it has already taken part in many concerts for Spain.

This season has seen the OFA establish itself as an orchestra, being well acclaimed by both audience and critics. In last season’s programme were included
a variety of concerts like Beethoven’s “9th Symphony”, the Christmas Concert with waltzes and polkas by Strauss. “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi, a lyrical recital of Opera and Zarzuela. Also performed were Haendel’s “Messiah” and Haydn’s “the Creation”. It has been on three tours with different ensembles visiting Spanish cities accompanying the Orfeón Donostiarra, the CompañÃa LÃrica Pópera, and the last through Andalucia, with a total of 24 concerts, with a programme dedicated exclusively to Mozart, together with soloists Colette Babiaud (violin) and Juanjo Mudarra (piano), organized by the Junta de AndalucÃa and the Circuito Andaluz de Música.

The OFA has been the official orchestra of the 2nd Ubeda International Film Music Congress, where it premiered the theme music of “Superman Returns” by composer John Ottman and has performed works conducted by their composers like “Conan the Barbarian” by Basil Poledouris, “The Passion of Christ” by John Debney and “The Ghost Ship” by John Frizzell, etc.
